Happy Birthday to star Sanju Samson who has the most passion for cricket.
Introduction
Cricketer Sanju Samson was born on 11 November 1994 in a Christian family in Mulluvila, Kerala.Sanju Samson used to sleep with a cricket bat since childhood. Sanju Samson liked leather ball more than tennis ball. He started participating in tournaments around the house. Seeing Sanju's game, the family understood that the son would make a lot of name in cricket. If selected for India, he will make the team win many matches on his own.
In childhood, the cricket kit was heavy, so Sanju's father and brother used to drop him at the Delhi bus stand. Look, people used to make fun of Sanju by saying that his father and brother have come to leave Sachin. Taunts at a young age made Sanju's heart very strong. It filled him with the passion to do something in the world of cricket.
When he realized that it might not be possible for the Indian team to travel while living in Delhi, Sanju's father left his job as a constable. The whole family shifted to Kerala just for the sake of Sanju's cricket. The family's sacrifice and Sanju's tireless hard work bore fruit.Sanju Samson started his career by captaining the Kerala Under-13 team and scored a century in the debut match. Sanju Samson was selected in Kerala's Ranji team at the age of just 15. He scored 5 centuries in 4 matches of the South Zone Under-13 Tournament. Later, Samson also captained the Kerala Under-16 and Under-19 teams. Samson scored a double century while playing for Kerala against Goa in the 2010 Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy South Zone.
In 2013, Sanju was signed by Rajasthan Royals in IPL on a contract of Rs 10 lakh. Sanju's strong performance was such that the very next year, Rajasthan retained him for a huge amount of Rs 4 crore. At the age of 19 years and 58 days, Sanju became the youngest crorepati IPL player. Everyone thought that this talented young player would soon make his place in Team India. Then he will make India win the competition on his own for a long time. Finally, on 19 July 2015, Sanju was given a chance to debut in T-20 International against Zimbabwe. But after that, in the next 8 years, he was included in the Indian team in only 24 T-20 matches.
During this period, Sanju scored 274 runs in 21 innings at a strike rate of 133.57. The best score was 77 runs from his bat.Talking about ODI cricket, Sanju played his first match for India against Sri Lanka on 23 July 2021. This opportunity was also possible because the veteran players were given rest. Considering Sri Lanka as weak, Sanju was included in the team. Sanju has scored 390 runs in 12 innings of ODI at an average of 55.71. The best score is 86* runs from his bat. But unfortunately he has been able to play only 13 ODIs for India. Every time Sanju was selected in the team only when a player was injured or the importance of the series was less.
Sanju could never play for India against a team whose bowling was strong. Now it has become such that if ODI World Cup is coming, Sanju plays T-20. When the T-20 World Cup is about to come, Sanju is selected in the ODI team. Sanju has scored 6190 runs in 256 matches of his T-20 career. During this period, playing at a strike rate of 133.31, he has hit 501 fours and 274 sixes. Despite his consistent performance in domestic cricket, the discrimination being done to Sanju during the selection of Team India is shameful. It is painful to see a talented player's career being played with like this. Hopefully BCCI and selectors will still understand the truth. Sanju Samson will be selected in the team of T-20 World Cup, 2024.
Wish Sanju Samson a happy birthday today. 🧡
Not coming to Team India after 10 years of struggle
It is not that easy to become Sanju Samson
